California mother murdered - Children reportedly present

In a horrifying incident, a California mother was brutally stabbed to death in her own home, in the presence of her young children, allegedly by a man against whom she had a restraining order.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Eleni Tavau, was found by police officers in her Salinas home, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The officers arrived at the scene to find Tavau unresponsive, with her two toddler-aged children present, according to the Salinas Police Department.

Despite being gravely injured, Tavau was still alive when she was rushed to a hospital. However, she was later pronounced dead, leaving behind three children.

Investigation Leads to a Shocking Revelation

Tavau, a caring and loving mother, had a Facebook cover photo displaying the quote, "Love yourself first." Her family would want the deceased to be remembered by her outpouring of love, rather than the horrible tragedy.

A KRON4 report states that a GoFundMe page set up by Tavau's family reads, "My sister Eleni Tavau was stabbed to death by her kids' father. She left behind 3 beautiful children. Our goal is to give her a proper burial back home in Samoa."

As the investigation unfolded, it was revealed that Tavau had a restraining order against 32-year-old Rodrigo Bravo. Bravo, who is the father of Tavau's young children, was identified by her family members.

Suspect Turns Himself In

In a surprising turn of events, Bravo turned himself into the Salinas Police Department and confessed to killing Tavau. He was promptly arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of murder, felony child endangerment, violating a domestic violence restraining order, and probation violation.

The child endangerment charge was added because the toddlers were at home with their mother when she was killed. As of Wednesday afternoon, Bravo remained behind bars in lieu of $1 million bail.

The Salinas Police Department has stated that its investigation into the case is still ongoing. They have encouraged anyone with information regarding this homicide to come forward.
